Stand Up Trek

There is a huge following for stand up big game fishing. Gone are the days of broomsticks and thick lines! Anglers demand a more finite way of targeting monster Pelagic species. The new breed of stand up rods are not only very light, but extremely powerful and when used in conjunction with a full stand up harness, you feel in ultimate touch and control of the fish.As you can imagine, designing a multi-piece stand up rod was not without its problems and it took us more than three years to get it absolutely to perfection, which we are now confident we have achieved. Not only have we used the latest materials available, but we have also selected to use the best quality Stewart fittings for both the butt section and the roller guides.

The rod comes in four sections and the four roller guides are all double whipped for maximum security. The Stewart reel fitting has double locking nuts and will comfortably fit up to a 50 size multiplier and cope with high tenacity braids to 80 lbs in breaking strain.

The 5’6” has a transportation length of 20.5 inches which is quite amazing when you consider what this beautiful rod will cope with. It is presented in a top quality zipped hard case with an internal protection sleeve to ensure that it will always stay in tip-top condition and is a very convenient length for travel.
