The V-Jig Trek is ideal for those anglers who prefer to fish with a conventional or multiplying reel for vertical jigging work. The critically placed Fox Sliks Guides ensure that even under maximum strain the line will never touch the blank.This rod is ideally suited for 30 size reels loaded with braided line between 20 and 50 lb breaking strain. The blank profile is such that it delivers fantastic backbone so important in the first few seconds of any fight to stop big fish making cover. The V-Jig handles 200 to 400 gram jigs with ease. We have also incorporated a Fuji reel fitting with a lock down action and a Gimbal end butt essential for all stand up work.
