Trek Boat – Travel Fishing Rod From Fox Sportfishing

This is the model that Fox really cut its teeth on when it came to our Trek range of rods. First launched over five years ago it has been a top seller and stood the test of time. This latest version has been fine-tuned to keep up to speed with modern standards and disciplines. Designed to use exclusively with a Multiplier/Conventional reel, we recommend line usage of between 20 and 30lb breaking strain in both monofilament and braid.The Trek Boat now has a more progressive action than ever ideally suited to modern stand up style fishing when targeting large bottom dwelling species like goliath grouper and snappers. But it is equally at home when doing battle with surface swimmers like sharks, tuna and even bluewater species like dorado and wahoo.

Whether you are trolling or bottom fishing or even for that matter free-lining large baits this rod will cope with all of these disciplines admirably. When you have hooked your target species you will begin to appreciate just how well balanced this rod is especially when you have got the gimbal slotted into your fighting belt.

The Trek Boat has a take apart handle with a location pin to guarantee no slippage when playing a large fish. It is furnished with high quality Fox SIC’s guides that are fully framed. The foregrip is sculptured to apply maximum pressure and like the rest of the handle it is constructed from EVA. The reel fitting, as you would expect from a top quality rod like this, is our own design and is of screwed down construction for total security. A high quality gimbal and rubber butt cap finishes off this delightful rod.

Constructed from 5 sections the Trek Boat has a transportation length of 21inches and is presented in a smart, rugged hard case travel tube to give the best protection and ease of carriage.
