Wave Runner Trojan
The feedback was very interesting indeed and the selections covered many similar patterns but it was noted that even some of the top lures needed adjusting to be absolutely perfect and this was our starting point to produce a range which not only improved on the best already out there but which also satisfied as many criteria as possible.
What we present here is the culmination of our extensive research with an innovative range of lures which have now been used in oceans all across the world to catch everything from Dorado to monster Black Marlin.
We believe that all twelve of our Wave Runner Trolling Lures have a place in the armoury of any big game angler and that they will serve as great fish catchers in all of the top venues around the world.
Features
The heads of all of our lures are made from high impact resins which are not only robust but also produce the perfect action and the balance weights have been critically positioned to ensure that the lure remains stable and does not rotate. This attention to detail our fine tuning ensures they run straight and true and give the ideal action in any given situation.
To allow flexibility of set up all of our Trolling Lures come complete with internal sleeves which can be removed to allow the use of heavier leaders. They are also fitted with “double skirts” to create a lifelike action. Our biggest challenge was to find a durable material for the skirts that would not stick and clog, somewhat of a black art, but we eventually found the correct formulation to fulfil our needs.
All of our Trolling Lures are available in rigged and unrigged versions and the rigged lures comply with IGFA legislation. A unique feature on the larger, single hook lures is the positive positioning of the hook and a special moulding allows the hook to be fished in one of four positions depending on sea conditions and how the fish are feeding at the time. This completely eliminates the common practise of jamming the hook with electrical tape!
On the packaging and here on the site we have recommended various positions for all of our lures. There are also some combinations of what patterns fish well together. This expertise has been built up through thousands of hours of fishing and input from our highly experienced captains, guides and consultants.
